Speaker: Dr. Santhiny Rajamohan, Professor of Nursing, Roberts Wesleyan College
Dr. Santhiny Rajamohan: My name is Dr. Santhiny Rajamohan, I'm a Professor of Nursing at Roberts. Wesleyan College. I grew up watching my parents who were educators back home in Sri Lanka, and their influence and impact on their students and our community, locally, made a great impression on me. I wanted to contribute to nursing by inspiring future nurses and help them become change agents.
Dr. Santhiny Rajamohan: Our mission here is to view and treat each student holistically because they are created with spiritual, physical, psychological, emotional as well as social aspect. And I teach the same holistic approach to their nursing care, and I empower my students to become more self compassionate which enable them to effectively truly care for their people who are interested in their care. It is truly a privilege and an honor for me to witness my student, commit to self leadership and learn to lead themselves better and become great advocate not only for themselves and for others, and continue to soar like an eagle. I also learned from my students and they inspired me to continue to teach and press forward no matter what. I'm blessed to be in the educator and thank you for the opportunity to share my passion here with you.
