Speakers: Beyond a Nurse Educator.
Hello, my name is Dr. Chinazo Echezona-Johnson. After practicing at different nursing levels, I realized that I have a passion not only do I enjoy teaching, but that I enjoy changing the system of healthcare education and training of health care professionals all over the world.
I believe that education can transform people from their current circumstances to better situations. As an educator, I use my skills and talents to inspire and transform the lives of my students. My students in turn change and empower their families, their patients, and their communities. I am proud to be an educator, and a nurse because through my students I can actively, and passively influence the future of educational and healthcare policies that affect health care in the local state, national and global arenas. One of my favorite quotes is if you don't create change, change will create you. So, I became an educator to change the world. Not just the world of healthcare, but the lives of vulnerable and marginalized populations all over the world, and I do this through my students and through my passion as a nurse educator!
