Could you describe a time that National Business Education Association helped you?
Dr. Jim Blair: As a business educator and researcher, NBEA provides some amazing resources in their library, whether it's the business education forum or the national standards or effective methods. These are great tools for my research to be able to conduct literature views, but then also get great ideas for the classroom. So it's always nice to be able to peruse the library and find helpful resources to make me a better educator and prepare our students for successful business careers.
How would you describe National Business Education Association in three words?
Dr. Jim Blair: I would describe the National Business Education Association as knowledgeable, supportive and a leader. They're knowledgeable because of all the amazing tools and resources that they have available. They're supportive in all of the great networking events that they have as well as the webinars. And then lastly, I would consider them a leader because they're always trying something new out of the box and trying to make sure that they're setting us up for success as well as our students in the classroom.
What is the main benefit you receive from NBEA?
Dr. Jim Blair: I think the major benefit of the National Business Education Association is the opportunity to be a part of this great business educator community. There are so many opportunities to network but then also through the different publications that are available, see the great work that's being done across the country and being able to reach out to those people to get advice, share ideas and get some great classroom activities is a big value add for the NBEA community.
