What is your motivation for and why are you applying to serve on the NACE Board of Directors?

Renard Miles: Hello, I'm Renard and I'm excited to submit my nomination for the Director of College Physician on the na Board of Directors. As a seasoned professional in career services, I believe my experience and vision can contribute significantly to nasa's mission in our fields. Advancement throughout my career, I've demonstrated strong leadership, fostering adaptability and inspire individuals to tackle challenges. As an executive director overseeing seven teams, I've championed collaboration and cultivated in an atmosphere of opportunity. My commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is evident in my word. I've successfully implemented our offices, diversity inclusion action plan and hired our inaugural director of career access and engagement. These efforts underscore our dedication to ensuring equitable access to career development for all of our students. Communication and collaboration are at the core of my approach. I've adapted my communication style to effectively lead diverse teams and engage with various stakeholders from students to university leadership. This skill has been crucial in navigating complex issues and building consensus. Strategic planning and data informed decision making have been hallmarks of my leadership by leveraging data. I've successfully advocated for our team growth resulting in 12 new staff members in the past 18 months. This expansion has positioned us to meet the challenges of increased student demand while enhancing our services. My involvement with NS has been instrumental in my professional growth. I've actively participated in affinity groups, committees and research initiatives. Strengthening my understanding of our profession's core competencies and future priorities. Looking ahead, I'm a passionate, I'm passionate about three key areas relevant to NAS in our profession. Number one, enhance an internship and applied learning data and resources for our members and profession and continuing the unpaid is unfair campaign. Number two, navigating ethical implications in a rapidly changing world while providing opinion pieces and continued advocacy for our association. Number three, expanding the number of employer members to increase our makeup of smaller to mid size organizations. If elected to the na board, I will bring my experience, leadership skills and commitment to these crucial areas together. We can advance our profession, support our members and most importantly, prepare students for successful careers in an ever changing job market. Thank you for your consideration.
