What is your motivation for and why are you applying to serve on the NACE Board of Directors?
Ashley Silva: Hi, I'm Ashley Silva, the A VP of talent acquisition at Global Atlantic Financial Group. And I'm thrilled to be applying for a seat on the N A board of directors. NAS has been an invaluable part of my journey in early career recruitment. It provided the data and community support. We needed to build a best in class internship program that was recognized with the N A recruiting Excellence Award in 2024. Winning the board was a proud moment that highlighted the strength of our program but also the power of na's platform to uplift and celebrate success. I'm eager to contribute to this mission by helping n navigate opportunities around den I technology integration and the ever evolving needs of our early career talent. I'm passionate about using my experience to ensure N A continues to drive positive change in our profession. I bring a combination of hands on leadership, strategic insight and a deep commitment to early career development at Global Atlantic. I've led a team that has built a robust internship program focusing on structured learning experiences, mentorship and creating a seamless transition from intern to full time employee. This program has been a crucial part of our talent pipeline, bringing in high performing individuals who tribute to our long term success. I've also leveraged Na's annual job outlook report to benchmark our hiring and diversity goals ensuring that our decisions are grounded in data beyond building programs. I've engaged with N A community to learn and share best practices whether it's seeking insights on building an intern conversion strategy or navigating recruitment challenges in a tight budget environment. Additionally, I've actively participated in creating content including filming a video about our award winning program and collaborating with NA'S newsletter team to share a story, my hands on experience with program development, data driven decision making and community engagement positions me well to add value to the NA I believe N is uniquely positioned to shape the future of recruitment. And I'm excited about the chance to be able to help lead that charge. I'm especially passionate about advocating for paid internships and reducing financial barriers for students and ensuring that all opportunities are accessible regardless of their background. I'm also committed to leveraging technology to improve the candidate experience making the recruitment process more engaging and efficient by focusing on these priorities. I believe we can build a stronger, more inclusive pathway for early career professionals. Thank you for considering my application. I'm truly excited to bring my energy expertise and passion to the NA Board together we can build a brighter future for our profession and make a lasting impact on the next generation of talent.
