Speaker: Andrew D. Martin, Chancellor, Washington University in St. Louis
Briefly describe your program, the outcomes or impact, and what others can take away from it.
Andrew D. Martin: Thank you to the National Association of Colleges and Employers for this incredible honor. I'm proud to accept the Career Services Champion Award on behalf of the entire WashU community. At WashU, we believe career education should begin early, be integrated throughout the student experience, and be accessible to every student. That vision has shaped our career engagement framework and our career communities model, which engages all WashU students, including 96% of our first year class. We've also invested significant financial resources to help students participate in internships and experiential learning opportunities that prepare them for success after graduation, and we're proud that these efforts are making a difference with a 93% positive career outcomes rate for our undergraduate students. This honor reflects the dedication of our Center for Career Engagement team and our entire community, most of all our students. We're grateful to NACE for this important recognition.
