Why is Cleveland a great place to visit?
Mayor Justin Bibb: Everybody. This is Justin Bibb, mayor of the great city of Cleveland, Ohio. Uh Cleveland is a great place to visit for a couple of reasons. Number one, we have world class, arts and culture. Uh Did you know we have actually have the second largest theater district in America right here in Cleveland, Ohio. Also a great food scene, especially my two favorites, the West side market and Mount pleasant barbecue. But also our people, we have some of the best, most resilient people in the world and I'm so happy to call Cleveland Home.
What makes Cleveland the best place to host the NAACP National Convention?
Mayor Justin Bibb: The NAACP is known for being our country's leading voice in terms of advocating for social and economic justice. And Cleveland has its own storied history in that critical narrative in this nation. Uh First and foremost, we are the home of the first black mayor elected of a major American city. Uh The late great Carl B Stokes. We also have some of the world's greatest inventors. People like Garda Morgan, born and raised right here in Cleveland, Ohio and our city, our city has always been at the forefront of advocating for civil rights, economic justice and prosperity for our residents. And we will be honored to host this important convention in our great city.
What else would you like the decision-makers at NAACP to know about Cleveland as a destination for meetings and conventions?
Mayor Justin Bibb: One thing Cleveland is really great at is hosting world class conventions. We want to let everyone know that Cleveland is open and ready for business and we can't wait to host you here in 2028.
