Help inspire new coaches by introducing yourself and saying how long you've been a coach, who inspired you, what you love about it...

Edgar Vazquez: Hello, my name is Edgar Vasquez. I've been coaching for about 11 years now. I just want to talk about how important it is to, you know, stay in this profession, you know, my first year teaching and coaching, like I said, you know, I worked with my old high school quarterbacks coach, uh he had a huge impact on me when I was younger, you know, my father left when I was really young and he, he stepped in and became that father role in my life and along with my other high school coaches. If it wasn't for him, I would not be a coach today and not just that, but because of all those other coaches along the way to pave the way, you know, for kids like me who needed those fathers in their life to come from broken homes and you know, my coach in high school is the reason why I got into coaching and I'm still coaching and actually coaching for him today, I'm his offensive coordinator and brian rudder high school and you know, just, we're just giving those kids the same lessons he gave to me, I'm doing it for the next generation, you know, we all do it for this next generation. I know it can be really tough for young coaches, you know, starting out those first couple of years, but it gets better every single time at the end of the day, you know, do it for the kids, do it for the kids at the end of the day because you know, it's all about changing lives at this next generation and do it for God's glory at the end of the day, so I just wanna thank you guys are gonna be the time to speak and I, you know, pray that younger coaches just stick with it and you know, we're all here to help you out, you know, it a lot of us veteran coaches, it could be, you know, a tool to help our younger guys stay in it, but we're all in this together as a family and the more of us to stick together and do you know, push through the hard times, you know, we're impacting the next generation of leaders in this country, of men and women, men and women all over, and there's no greater profession in this profession, so thank you guys for giving me the time to talk about this with with you all and uh let's just keep growing the next generation of kids and coaches and future leaders of this country.
