Speaker: Ariel Nicastro
Ariel Nicastro : Hi, my name is Ariel Nicastro and I'm a sophomore physics major at MTSU. I love mtsu because of all the helpful staff and opportunities supported by donors like you. At MTSU, I am a Buchanan fellow and have received full tuition from the honors college. And I've also studied abroad in New Zealand and have taken advantage of the Buchanan funds offered to me to make my trip pretty much free. And in the physics department, I am involved in a variety of research opportunities and have last year traveled to the National Conference on undergraduate research as well as several others where I have received full funding for the conference, especially at the National Conference in Wisconsin. I received full funding for my travel costs, lodging and more. And I heard about fellowships through the MTSU honors college such as the RU, the research experience for undergraduates, which I participated in this past summer, I traveled to the University of Maryland and participated in a biophysics research project. And currently I am involved in the growing quantum initiative at MTSU. Thanks to outside funding from the National Science Foundation.
