Speaker: Seth Savage
What is your name, major, and career interest?
Seth Savage: I'm Seth Savage. I'm an animation and visual arts major and I'm interested in pursuing a career in technical animation for video games.
What made you decide to go to MTSU?
Seth Savage: I decided to go to MTSU because they offered a variety of scholarships which would allow me to go debt free. That way I can focus on my studies rather than worrying about finances the whole time.
What is one thing that you love most about your major and how has it helped you grow?
Seth Savage: One thing I love about the animation program is that it's a really good combination of both creativity and all these technical animation skills that they teach you throughout the degree. Going into it I wasn't sure what to expect fully since I didn't have any background in animation. But over the three years I've been here so far, I've been able to grow a lot in all these different classes that they offer visual effects, modeling, character animation. It's been a really great time.
What's your favorite thing about MTSU?
Seth Savage: My favorite thing about MTSU is probably the professors. I've been very lucky to have a lot of very passionate professors that, like, clearly care a lot about the subject matters that they're teaching. And whenever I'm in that situation, it's a lot easier to engage into the class, it's, it's easier to become more passionate about what we're learning whenever you see the passion coming from the other side of things. And so, yeah, that would probably be my favorite thing about MTSU.
