Speaker: Dan Topolski, Burnski Designs
Talk about a client situation where MOQ1 let you say yes when you would've had to say no. What happened, how'd it play out?
Dan Topolski: Hi there, I think that would be any of our, schools that we work with, they typically want small orders, they don't want to handle payments, they. Don't know whether they're getting 1 shirt, 5 shirts, 10 shirts, 100 shirts. They also want to offer a variety of items with different sizings, so shirt, youth shirts with small designs, adult shirts with bigger designs, hoodies with medium sized designs based on the pocket, tons of different colors. It's just way too much to handle with a, normal screen printing setup. Or even in house with a DTF setup, so MOQ1 lets me take those jobs now.
What's the one MOQ1 feature you can't imagine working without?
Dan Topolski: Just the instant store setup is the biggest key feature of the whole thing. It's not products, it's not really anything else about about this, except for the fact that I can write a customer and tell them that I can show them a store in an hour or make a store, show to a customer, sell the order and they never even asked for it, It just makes it incredibly simple, and if they say no, then it literally took me no time to do it, so that's just the biggest feature that attracts us to MOQ1.
Be honest — what were you skeptical about before you signed up for MOQ1, and what changed your mind?
Dan Topolski: I think some samples changed our mind, I've got I've got prints. From companies all over whether they're whether they're from my for myself or for my customers or for my business, And the results just vary wildly. It's either plastic or it feels like an iron on, or it's too thick, or it's too rough, or the colors are dull or inaccurate, whatever it might be. The consistency of the print every time, we have the samples that we got and the, the work that we've seen is what sold us.
You're having coffee with a colleague who's never heard of MOQ1. What do you tell them — and what would make them try it?
Dan Topolski: I think the answer to that is, do you want a solution that allows you to never turn a project away and expands new horizons that you couldn't offer before. So most of my colleagues are screen printing shops with automatic presses, they can only take bulk orders. They try to do heat press and pay the shipping things from Transfer Express and other places But they never really focus on that. This just offers a whole new part of their business that they don't actually have to invest anything in, completely free to use. They can suddenly offer stores or they can just do, set up a quick store for a project they're doing and order it for themselves, even if it's not a customer facing thing. So, just opening up new horizons to your business without any investment into, these new avenues that you want to focus on.
Has MOQ1 helped you make more money? If yes, how?
Dan Topolski: More opportunities, means more money, so, where we used to be someone who could only take say. Orders over 100 pieces that were cost effective and typically lost any orders that were between 24 to 100 and didn't even accept orders that were 1 to 24, so just opening up the door to be able to accept anything we want help us make more money.
