Speaker: John Allen Darnell III, CEO, Global Outreach International
Tell us how has Missio Nexus helped you in your leadership or in your ministry?
John Allen Darnell III: I'm John Darnell, I'm the CEO of Global Outreach International a missions agency in Tupelo, Mississippi and I got to know Missio Nexus through the CEO On Board program when I became interim CEO of Global Outreach International almost three years ago, that's when I met Missio Nexus, a friend pointed me in the direction of the new CEO cohort and really the outcome of that is that a new leader who was dealing with organizational issues at every level and turmoil. I was connected to a coach and mentor who walked with me through the challenges of those seasons, pointed me back to Jesus and really gave me practical advice and challenged me greatly to respond in a Christ like manner and to lead the organization As a result. Here we are, three years later we navigated turmoil. We thrived during the interim time instead of just survived and now we're in a position as an organization where we're looking to the future with hope, confident in the calling that God has given us with an amazing team, an amazing board and looking to the future and attribute that to Missio Nexus. In addition for any leader who is considering joining Missio Nexus, you will immediately feel like a leader with decades more of experience in your role. So I stepped in as a young CEO, 31 years old into a role that was trying to get the organization out of fiscal challenges, board staffing challenges a lot of things really not ready, not equipped for that with Missio Nexus, I have a network and other like minded kingdom focused believers who will drop what they're doing and help us with what we're dealing with. So as we've tried to get better mobilization, we instantly have access to other people who have experience in mobilization. If it's a struggle with missionary care, member care, we are instantly connected to people who care about us and want to see the kingdom grow and thrive. If you're a donor, I would say by giving the Missio Nexus, you are supercharging the great commission because your impact is exponential. Not only helping Missio Nexus, you're helping hundreds of missions agencies and churches work together network and connect to be more effective and reach the nations with the Gospel. So I can't think of a better way for you as a donor to have kingdom impact than to give to Missio Nexus and really provide a turbo boost for many organizations doing gospel work all around the world.
