Mark Huffman: When I started my role at Interserve USA in January 2021 from the outside, our organization looked good and healthy. We were slowly growing in number of9999 missionary sent, slowly growing financially. But I was warned by my board that things inside were not all healthy. After I arrived, I found that our house was on fire just before the flames got out of control, By God grace I had joined the CEO on boarding program. The very first session Corwin told us exactly what I needed leadership is about being and not doing. I didn't really understand what that meant at first. But over the next few months, as Corwin helped unpack that and as the cohort of other CEOs discussed it and applied it together. I began to focus on being and not doing God put out the fire and quickly very quickly began building a new Interserve USA community. Now we have a healthier sharing community of people serving each other. We have a team of servants, trusting, interacting, respecting and honoring everyone's voice and I hear laughter, prayer, and even fun outside of my office. Thanks to the CEO On Board program, the mentoring of Corwin and the cohort of other leaders, Interserve has gone from a house on fire to a team of servants.
