Speaker: Mark Byrom, Executive Pastor of Outreach & Care, Alliance Church Appleton - WI

How would you describe Missio Nexus in just a few sentences?

Mark Byrom: To describe Missu Nexus, it's a collaborative networking coop of churches and mission agencies, a place to learn and learn from each other, make contributions, and come together to see the Great Commission completed.

What have you found most helpful about being a part of Missio Nexus?

Mark Byrom: What I found most helpful is, I have a tendency to play in my own sandbox with the people that I know with my organization when it comes to missions. But Missio Nexus has helped me to just get out of that sandbox and get a chance to meet people that are doing all kinds of different things, whether it's other churches here, what they're doing different mission agencies to see how they're participating in the Great Commission, that's been such a blessing to me over the years, connected to Missio Nexus.

How does Missio Nexus help you as a church leader fulfill your mission?

Mark Byrom: As a church leader fulfilling the mission. What I'm called to Missio Nexus has been so great to pull other leaders from my church into the resourcing, whether it's the webinars, one of the guys, on my leadership team, he's been going through the 40 day journey. I've heard him talk about it multiple times and I love it. It's a way to help resource our people within our church, to understand what missions is all about, to see how it's done, to learn specific things that are helpful for me and raising up those that are going to be a part of this within my church body, also gives them a chance to, as we jump into different conferences, to rub shoulders with so many different people that help open their eyes to things that are really hard to hold by myself to do. I love the resource of Missio Nexus
