Katherine Leung: My name is Katherine and I'm a painter and a magazine editor. I edit and curate an art and literature magazine about my culture called Canto Cutie.
When/how did you first learn about the Milton Artists' Guild?
Katherine Leung: I first learned about the Milton Artists' Guild when I moved to Milton in 2021. I joined right away and I've been a member for three years. I've been a board member. I've been a workshop coordinator and I just love hanging out at the Milton Artists Guild.
Why do you think MAG is important for our community?
Katherine Leung: I think MAG is important for our community because there are only a few nonprofit organizations in Northern Vermont outside of Burlington, much less Milton. So the impact that MAG's programming has on the community, especially the youth is tremendous. Social Sunday is a free art program for families sponsored by the Vermont Federal Credit Union. It's the only recurring arts program in Milton. It has a commitment to remaining free and accessible to all families and all the classes are taught by local artists.
