When/how did you first learn about the Milton Artists' Guild?
Julie Jones: How did I learn about the Milton Artists' Guild? Well, that was from my neighbor. She told me about this fantastic little shop that was in town that houses local art. And it was a great place to find unique gifts, to find different types of artists' medium, and it's a great place for the community.
Why do you think MAG is important for our community?
Julie Jones: An art guild can play a crucial role in the community by hosting artistic growth, promoting cultural engagement and providing a supportive environment for all artists at all levels. Some of the reasons why the art guild is important and includes skill development. Art guild offers workshops, classes and demonstrations conducted by experienced artists. This helps inspiring artists to improve their skills and learn new techniques leading to personal growth and a higher standard within the community. It's also a place for networking. The Art guild provides a platform for artists to connect, share ideas, collaborate on projects and learn from one another. This networking can lead to valuable professional relationships and opportunities for creative partnerships. It's also a place for community building. Art has the power to bring people together. An art world creates a sense of community among artists and art enthusiasts, fostering a shared appreciation for creativity and cultural expression. It's just so many wonderful things.
