2022. I packed on 20 pounds overnight.
When I thought about the amount of weight that I gained so fast, it just didn't make sense. Meanwhile, I had additional symptoms such as night sweats, hot flashes, insomnia, extreme bloating, rapid and unexplainable changes in my mood. There were just a lot of things that were happening all at one time and I just couldn't explain it.
In my medical plans, I try to stay as close to nature as possible. So if it's something I feel like I can handle, I deal with it and all the options that were being presented just did not make sense on top of stop eating so much sugar or maybe you should add more cardio to your diet or how is your weight weightlifting plan? And I'm like, I'm a former collegiate athlete. I think I understand how to maintain myself as it relates to those things. Oh yeah Oh yeah And by the way, every single time I go to the doctor every year and I get my labs done, my labs are off the charts outstanding.
So again, it just didn't make sense. There had to be more.
And I finally found Midi and I finally scheduled an appointment and I got the most outstanding provider. A provider that was amazing, and that really did a great job of understanding who I was and what I needed specifically for myself.
With that being stated, I explained to her that I wasn't into some of the hormone hormone replacement therapy options. That wasn't my thing, that I was seeking a more nature driven solution to try to address my symptoms. So with that, she prescribed me berberine, which she explains was like natures Ozempic and she also prescribed me ashwagandha. She also prescribed me magnesium. And then I also at some point had black cohash for night sweats and then I also had lavender. But I believe that the magic magical
My mood was better, my body was feeling better. My joints weren't hurting anymore. My hips weren't hurting anymore. My knees weren't aching.
When I went to the doctor recently, I had lost 15 pounds from the previous year. And my doctor said, "What are you doing?"
I've been on that regimen off and on for about six months now and it's changed my life. I am slowly and steady and most importantly, I believe sustainably going to drop those 20 pounds. I'm five pounds away. And ultimately, it has changed my life and got me back to a place where I'm happy, and I feel as healthy as I did before.
