When did you first hear about Serve and Protect Credit Union and why did you join?
Michael: So I first heard of Police [Serve and Protect] Credit Union from my phase one which was in Pirbright So there was a brief that told us about Police [Serve and Protect] Credit Union about how we could save every month. And the money will come from straight from our salary and all that. So that's how I first head of Police [Serve and Protect] Credit Union.
How has the credit union helped you?
Michael: So the Police Credit Union, Serve and Protect has helped me in loads of ways. So me saving every month, I don't touch the money. I leave in my savings account until the end of the year, which is in December, and it's really helped my financial discipline because me saving money every month. At least I know at the end of the year I have something done which I could use to celebrate or do whatever I want to do. So I feel this savings has really helped me and the good thing about it, at the end of the year, you still get profit on your savings, which I feel is is quite good to be fair because all the money you've saved up from the whole year once you get to December, at least you get, an interest on it or a dividend on your savings. So I feel it's a good thing, and it's really helped me.
What is the best thing about being part of the credit union?
Michael: so the best thing about being part of this credit union is whenever you save, whenever you want to withdraw money, whenever you want to top up your savings, you can do that instantly. The workers are very friendly and they are welcoming, and no matter the issues you have, they're ready to listen and help you out. And whenever you're in trouble, like, let's say financial trouble and you need a loan, they take you through the steps to help you get a loan. And they also give you a payment plan, which you could help you pay back the loan. So this is really good the [Serve and Protect] Credit Union.
