Speaker: Lynn Hughes, Director of Development, Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health

Lynn Hughes: Hi, my name is Lynn Hughes, and I live in Terre Haute, Indiana.

How has Dr. Nasha Winters and/or the Metabolic Approach to Cancer impacted your life?

Lynn Hughes: I remember I was talking to a doctor, a friend of mine, and he said, you know, we don't do health care, we do sick care. And when he said that like, you know, my a light bulb went off. I was like, oh my gosh, you're right. We don't do a good job of getting people healthy and keeping them healthy. And, so when I discovered Dr. Nasha Winters and the Metabolic Approach to Cancer and, quite honestly, the Metabolic Approach to Life, I just thought, oh my gosh, this, this is what health care is, this is how we get people healthy, this is how we keep people healthy. And so it's really just opened my eyes to the opportunities that we have not just to treat cancer and, and treat illness, but to get people healthy and to keep them healthy and prevent disease. And you know, it's been such a game changer in my life. And, I just, I love telling people about the work that we're doing with, with this organization. And I'm just, I'm so excited to share this information with them because I know that it can truly you know, transform their lives and, for some, it can save their lives.

What is your WHY? Why do you share your time, talent and treasures with MTIH?

Lynn Hughes: You know, I've lost so many people to cancer. Obviously, loved ones and, and family members, and I've lost friends in recent years, and I'm 45 years old and I'm seeing more and more friends who are, are battling cancer and who are battling other diseases. And, it truly, it truly breaks my heart. And you know what I love about the Metabolic Terrain Institute of Health and the Metabolic Approach is that it makes me feel less helpless, I guess, you know, it makes me feel like there's something that, that I can do to help them. There's something that I can do to help myself. There's something that I can do to help everyone around me just live longer healthier lives. And, you know, I, I think sometimes when, when people get illnesses, it's, you know, they just feel like things aren't in their control anymore. And you know, the Metabolic Approach, this approach allows people to say there are things that are, that are in my control. There are things that I can do to, to get healthier and, and to, and to live longer and, and so that's my why. I want more people to know that their health can truly be in their hands, and there are things that they can do to live a longer, healthier life.
