Hi, I'm Denise L'Hommedieu from Oshkosh Wisconsin in the US. And here are some pieces I just finished with Meredith. I am a fiber artist and weaver. So I have some experience but I really feel confident now. This is some of the pieces and I can tell you I would be doing more.
Why did you join the Sculptural Embroidery course and what did you get out of the course?
I began this course just to improve my skills. I am experienced in free motion, I thought, until I took this course, I've always admired Meredith's work and I wanted that challenge. She got me to the next level. I love it.
What was your favourite thing about the Sculptural Embroidery course?
My favorite part about the course was the logical progression of challenging your skills. We went from very simple things to very difficult things, but all the way Meredith introduced you to the skills needed and let you know what might go wrong. So you were prepared. I really enjoyed it. I thought it was awesome.
What would you say to someone who was considering taking this course in the future?
If you're considering this course I say, go for it because your skills will be at the next level. Meredith really knows her stuff and it sinks in even for stubborn old folks like me. She did Awesome. And I think it's worth the investment.
