Kenneth Rieman Jr: My name is Kenny Rieman Junior. I'm the IT and Marketing Specialist with Custom Distributors. We are contract distributor for residential kitchen, laundry, specialty and outdoor appliances.
How has MART impacted your marketing abilities? What do you value most about MART?
Kenneth Rieman Jr: The Marketing Accelerator Round Table (MART) has made great impact on my marketing abilities. It really offers a time to get away from the office. I think in some sense, it could be a bit of a positive feedback loop when you work with the same people doing a lot of the same stuff every day. So MART really has allowed me to expand my thoughts as far as what's realistic What works, what doesn't not only in the context of our business directly but in the overall marketing world. I'd say what I value most about the group. You know, among many other things that I enjoy about it, is just kind of demystify the marketing process. You know, it's not always the easiest to hear real feedback, but it is certainly the most impactful to our mission. And Drew and the rest of our team, really kind of goes out of their way to, to provide honest, kind and realistic feedback of how we can all do better. And I value that tremendously.
What would you say to a colleague who is on the fence about joining MART?
Kenneth Rieman Jr: If I had a colleague who was on the fence about joining the Marketing Accelerator Round Table, my best advice would be to just give it a shot just like I did. Drew welcomed me in with open arms to audit a session before I officially joined the group. In my mind, I was going to be kind of a silent watcher. But during the course of that 2.5 hour meeting, they asked for my opinion on things multiple times which it at first was a bit shocking because I viewed everybody there as a much higher level of expertise and maybe I was just there to learn, but they were really open about hearing my feedback, what I thought about things if I had problems that I was dealing with and it really set off, a really great series of events that for me was a no-brainer to officially join the group. And that attitude hasn't changed at all. You know, I feel more comfortable each time I go, but there was no level of uncomfortability besides what I had, you know, maybe told myself in my head before that first session. But, you know, OPENNESS TRUTHFULNESS, and RELIABILITY of the members are probably the three key things that affected me and I think would affect others positively.
