Speaker: Erin Ruef, VP of Marketing, PUI Audio
Erin Ruef: Hi, my name is Erin Ruef I'm the Vice President of Marketing at a company called PUI Audio. We are private equity owned and we sell audio components into EOMs around the world, As an initial layer of value that MART has brought to me as a Marketing Leader, I would say it's definitely on coming up with solutions and collaboration specifically related to the ROI. I think marketing leaders are under a tremendous amount of pressure to demonstrate year to year, month to month. And so, working with this team of talented folks has really helped me with.
Previous to joining MART, how did you engage with marketing colleagues?
Erin Ruef: Historically, for me, and my career has been over 20 years in B2B. I've really had a hard time finding peers in my space. I think B2B tends to be fairly specialized, I think, especially in the manufacturing and industrial sectors. And so there's always been a lot of groups focused on B2C, but it's been very difficult to find peers who truly understand some of the ins and outs of being in this B2B space, where there's a tremendous amount of need for a lot of things across the spectrum, from brand to technical content, digital, how the buyer landscape is changing, etc. So, it was difficult until I found this group with MART to really find people who were kind of living the same experiences that I do day to day.
What would you say to a colleague who is on the fence about becoming a MART member?
Erin Ruef: If you have the opportunity as a marketing leader, especially in the B2B space to participate in MART, I highly encourage you to do so. I've found so much ability to you know, partner, find camaraderie, collaborate with other really talented individuals and learn. I have found MART to be a tremendous learning tool for me, whether it's in this job function or in future job functions, I think there's been resources and ideas shared within MART that are invaluable. I just think that participating in something like this and with this group in particular, individuals end up being better personally and professionally from the experience.
