Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, what you do)
Hello, my name is Aaron Dicken and I was born and raised in New Castle. Um actually decided to stay, raise my family here with my wife Brittany and we decided we wanted to get involved. So, uh, I joined City Council, was elected, took my seat in 2016. And uh, one of the things we love about New Castle, aside from being close to family in the close knit community is downtown uh, I'm actually walking through the plaza right now where we see concerts during the summer, just got my coffee from The Press, which just opened up and got guitar strings from Monkey Jack's record store, which just moved in behind me uh, but had to knock all that out as I go pick up my daughter here at 1822 Boutique and Dance Studio. Um, so we love New Castle, we want to continue to contribute and spread its goodness and love to everybody. So if you have any questions you're looking to move here, hit me up.
What part of town do you live in and what do you love about your neighborhood?
So we live on the south side of town in a small, quiet neighborhood, which is what we like. Actually a block from my parents and where I grew up, um it's close to everything close to 3, close to 70, so we can even get to uh my brother-in-law's, who lives in Carmel uh in about an hour. So that's another great positive thing about New Castle's location.
