Speaker: Leesa unger, City commissioner
Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, what you do)
Leesa unger: Hi, my name is Leesa Unger. I'm from Frankfort, Kentucky and I am a current City Commissioner for the city of Frankfort. And I also work full time for the Kentucky Department of Education.
What part of town do you live in and what do you love about your neighborhood?
Leesa unger: I live right downtown by the old capital. Right, right near a bunch of restaurants, bars. I love living down here because I get a good mix of, seeing people I know every day and also tourists and, there's just a lot of activity and I really enjoy it.
What's a must-do event or activity that remote workers should experience in their first year?
Leesa unger: So this is really hard for me to pick one fun activity for you to do. but I'm gonna keep it simple. I host a running walking group here just a block from my house at Sig Luscher Brewery. We do that every Tuesday at six o'clock. So for somebody that's new to town, it's actually really great and a good way to meet people and also get some exercise and if you enjoy having a beer after you can do that as well.
Lastly, end with an invitation. Invite potential new neighbors to come join your community!
Leesa unger: Frankfort has a lot of really great things to offer and I hope to see you soon. Thanks!
