And I'm also an elected official. I'm a Frankfort city commissioner and I am very proud to represent my hometown and work for my family and the future of our children. This is my wife Jen. I'm Jen Thompson. born and raised in Kentucky. but in the Ashland/Flat Woods area and came to central Kentucky for college, ended up in Lexington and then got a job for the state. And I'm a dietitian for the state, ended up in Frankfort and eventually met Kyle.

What part of town do you live in and what do you love about your neighborhood?

Kyle and Jen Thompson: But we actually live in Arnold Ridge just across from Peaks Mill grade school. We love this area because it is we can look at our back deck and look at Peaks Mill and the beauty that goes along with Peaks Mill in the farming community. We also love our neighbors. We hit the jackpot with our neighbors and we think we're really blessed. We live on a quiet cul de sac.

What's a must-do event or activity that remote workers should experience in their first year?

Kyle and Jen Thompson: And remote workers first year. The one thing you need to understand is that Kentucky is known for a couple of things. Bourbon history and politics and horses, but really that's on the outskirts of Frankfort, but bourbon history and politics. So um if you're getting to know Frankfort or you wanna want to go to a truly Frankfort event. Bourbon on the Banks is a big event. The annual summer jazz festival that they have the downtown concert series on the, on the weekends during the summer. Um You should absolutely visit the Kentucky History Center, which is amazing treasure that we have the Capital City Museum, which is brand, basically brand new and it is fantastic.

Lastly, end with an invitation. Invite potential new neighbors to come join your community!

Kyle and Jen Thompson: So it's, it's just a great little town that, you know, I've been blessed to be raised in and I'm happy that you came around 11 or 12 years ago. And I think it's a great place to visit, but also it's a great place to stay for many reasons. And I hope you'll come and visit and as, as our guests come see us and I'll take you around and teach everything about the history of Frankfort.
