Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, what you do)
Bob Dion: Hi, my name is Bob Dion. I'm originally from Chicago, Illinois and for the last 20 years or so I've made Monticello, Indiana my home. We love it down here. After a 40 year career in advertising, I chose Monticello because this is gonna be the start of the next chapter in my life.
What part of town do you live in and what do you love about your neighborhood?
Bob Dion: Monticello, Indiana is really unique because it is home to two lakes, Lake Shafer and Lake Freeman. Uh There are two lakes that are formed by a couple of dams in Norway Dam and the Oakdale Dam, and they've been around for about 100 years. My family and I live on Lake Freeman, which is the Lake South uh South Monticello. Um and we absolutely love it here. We're outdoors, people, we love nature, we love wildlife. Uh In fact, I've started a website called Lake Freeman Life.com and have been running that for the past five years. It's a wonderful place to call home.
What's a must-do event or activity that remote workers should experience in their first year?
Bob Dion: If you're choosing to consider maybe moving to Monticello and work remotely or do whatever you do, um, you should really come here and enjoy the outdoors. Uh, the Twin Lakes offer wonderful boating opportunities, fishing opportunities, great times and great opportunities for families to get together. So if you're looking for the best of both worlds, a great place to live, work and play. There's no better place than Monticello, Indiana.
