Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, what you do)
Good morning. I'm Penny P. Vler and I'm coming to you live from Frankfort, Kentucky, the public art capital of Kentucky. I want to show you one of our beautiful downtown murals by a native Frankfortonian and Chicago-based fine artist Anna Murphy. I'm gonna just turn around here and show you this beautiful mural, which graces the side of Bourbon on Main. One of our great taverns. So join us here in Frankfort. You can see all that the public art capital of Kentucky has to offer. We've got a downtown sculpture tour and a wonderful mural program. Thanks.
What part of town do you live in and what do you love about your neighborhood?
Again, it's a rainy day in Frankfurt, but it's still a beautiful day in this incredible city. I just want to show you a little look downtown, look down Main Street. So Paul Sawyier, who was one of America's foremost impressionist painters in the 19th century called Frankfort his home and "Rainy Day in Frankfort" is one of his paintings. If you take a little visit to our city page, I'll post that picture there. It's a picturesque town. It was perfect for a 19th century American impressionist painter and it's perfect for you.
