Mike and Bonnie Triplett : Hello, welcome to the Lighthouse Lodge, Bed and Breakfast. on Lake Shafer in Monticello indiana. We are Mike and Bonnie Triplett. We are the creators of the Lighthouse Lodge, former residents of Illinois and the Chicagoland area. We moved here in 2003 as permanent residents. And in 2006, we built the Lighthouse Lodge. Mike can tell you more of the story of how we ended up here on Lake Shafer. Hi, I started coming down since I was a baby. My grandparents had been coming down for years. We bought our first summer home on Lake Shafer in 1984 and then realizing that we're going to live here for the rest of our lives, we needed a bigger place. So we found this piece of property here in 19...1993. We just, we love coming. I love coming down as a child because I could swim and ski and be outdoors. And now we're coming down. We're bringing, we brought our children and we bring our grandchildren. This is our granddaughter, Michaela, Michaela, lives up in the Illinois area and she gets to come down and this is her vacation spot. now. Tell me why you like it. Because I like to swim and I like to hang out with my grandma and grandpa. Good points. That's it. All right. And we're inviting you to come and enjoy all the Monticello has. If you stay with us, we'll take you out on the water and show you the facilities that are available on the lake. We've moved here and we never looked back. It's a wonderful change.
