Introduce yourself (your name, where you're from, what you do)
Good morning. My name is Katie Drab and I'm a local real estate agent here in the Owensboro community and I'm also one of the MakeMy Move champions. So I just want to pop on here really quickly and introduce myself and just tell you a little bit about what I love most about the Owensboro community. So I myself am a transplant. My husband and I moved down here about 10 years ago from Lexington, Kentucky for my husband's job. And it's funny when we first moved down here, Owensboro just never really was on our radar of places to go. So we're like, okay, we'll get this place 3 to 5 years and then we'll mosey on from there. However, lo and behold 10 years later here we are with no plans of moving anytime soon. So since moving here, we've also started a sweet little family. We've got a 20 month old at home and needless to say she's very busy. Um, but Owensboro is just a wonderful place to raise a family. You've definitely got that small town feel yet. There's lots of fun activities and just family friendly things to do. We've got an amazing downtown riverfront. We've got a state of the art park down there, Smothers Park. Um, and lots of good local eats as well as lots of opportunities to catch some live music on the weekends and throughout the week. Um, Owensboro has great schools, lots of really good parks, lots of fun festivals. Um, so it really is just a great town and we've really grown to love it and planted some really deep roots the past 10 years that we've since we've been here. So anyway, I hope you guys love it as much as we have and I really look forward to the opportunity of hopefully meeting you soon and just welcoming you and showing you around our great community of Owensboro.
