Speaker: Krystal

Why did you decide to join the Majka Breakfast Challenge?

Krystal: Hello, my name is Crystal and I joined the Majka breakfast challenge because I saw the advertisement on instagram and it said how would you like to improve your sleep and your nutrition? And immediately I was all for it. I needed all the tips that I could get on improving my sleep and my nutrition. Um this was something that was out of my comfort zone but I knew that it was going to be something that was going to be done for me, so I really enjoyed it um every day was something new. Uh I got to share my story, I got to read up on you know other moms and their stories and their experiences. They also shared things that may have helped them. Um It definitely made the journey of postpartum that much more enjoyable because I have never been to a mommy group, I didn't even know that those were a thing um but I feel like Majka had provided the perfect kind of platform that we all needed especially during this time of um you know being being a new mom doing a, doing this during a pandemic was definitely uh different and I think I can say that for all the other mommies that this might have been their third or fourth time around um but yeah I joined because I needed something for myself and yes the sleep and nutrition were a bonus

What was your biggest accomplishment (or breakthrough) that happened during the challenge?

Krystal: mm. My biggest accomplishment was that it's okay to have a moment for me. Whether that be I enjoy my breakfast, I enjoy my chai tea, latte or exercise. I learned how I can exercise with my baby so that made it even more enjoyable. But it is also okay to exercise on.

What was your favorite part about the challenge?

Krystal: mm hmm. My favorite part about the challenge was definitely making the friends that I made. Um I'll admit that going into postpartum was kind of lonely. So it really felt nice to have, you know, someone other than my mom and my sister that could be there for me for extra support.
