Speaker: Traci Couture Richmond, Executive Director
Why did you decide to hire me as your 1:1 coach? What was your life like BEFORE discovering SDF?
Traci Couture Richmond: I made the decision to hire Jennifer as my private coach after attending one of her stop dieting forever. 30 day boot camps. After learning some tools in the boot camp, I just knew that there was more work for me to do personally and some issues that I needed to get out there in order to help me be successful with my weight loss. My life before stopped dieting forever was constantly counting calories, counting points, looking for the latest and greatest ways to lose weight fast and being afraid of food. I also had a hard time letting go of past hurts from gym memberships, gym owners and trainers and Jennifer really helped me in our private one on one sessions. Figure out that these things were not a problem and how to move on and have a healthier relationship with food.
What has been your result thus far? Why is this weight loss experience so different from others in the past?
Traci Couture Richmond: My result this far has been more than what I expected ever. I expected that I would take off 10, maybe 15 pounds but that it would come right back on just as it had before. But with the tools that I learned from both the boot camp and Jennifer's private coaching, I can now say that I am as close to my lowest weight as I have been since I had my second baby. And this has been so different because I can eat what I want. I can drink what I want. Food is not a problem.
Do you feel like you've Stopped. Dieting. Forever.?
Traci Couture Richmond: I absolutely feel like I have stopped dieting forever when my husband and I go out on date nights, which we do frequently. I no longer look at the menu searching for the lowest calorie option. I plan for it. I make plans before I go out for drinks with friends. And the result has been keeping the weight off. Yes. The scale does fluctuate and that's not a problem. And I'm ok with that now, whereas the scale fluctuating used to take me down a rabbit hole. Of why am I doing this? Nothing is ever going to work for me. I now know that it's just a data point. It doesn't mean anything.
What would you share with someone who may be thinking about investing in their health by hiring a coach?
Traci Couture Richmond: If you are thinking at all about making the investment in yourself to hire a coach, all I can say is do it. You will not regret it. Yes, there will be hard work. Yes, there will be days that you want to just quit and walk away. But at the end of the day hiring a private health coach is the best investment that you can make for yourself because you will learn strategies to help you every day. You will learn so much about yourself how to let go of things that hadn't worked for you before and to recognize that you are so worth more than just hiring a health coach. You are worth the investment in your health.
