Granetta Coleman: Hi, I'm Grenada and I'm a health coach. I work with busy people who want to improve their health numbers but struggle with maintaining healthy habits. We do a healthy lifestyle makeover where we adjust what you eat and drink, how you move, sleep and manage stress so that you can see positive body changes and unlock the healthy life that you deserve.
WHAT IS YOUR ORGANIZATION'S UNIQUE STORY, WHY ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT IT?
Granetta Coleman: Hi, I'm passionate about what I do, helping people improve their health because I know that everyone deserves it. Everyone should be able to live a healthy long life and not just a long life, but a life equality life where you can travel if you want to, where you can walk to see different things where you can interact with your family without any struggles. That's what I want for people, and that's why I do the work that I do and I have been on my own health journey for, you know, many years and I know how much having more energy can improve your life, How you can show up for your friends, for your family, for you if you take care of yourself, and that's what I want to do for other people, help them take care of themselves, so their life can be richer.
CAN YOU SPOTLIGHT THE TOP SERVICES AND PRODUCTS YOU OFFER LOCALLY?
Granetta Coleman: One is the diabetes reset cleanse and the other is the healthy lifestyle transformation. The diabetes reset cleanse is a month long group experience where I walk people through a low fat plant based diet. And the reason why I decided to do this program is because a plant based diet, a low fat plant based diet has been scientifically shown to attack the root cause of prediabetes and type two diabetes. And that's fat in the cells. And a lot of people don't know that that fat inside your muscle cells and liver cells actually prevents the insulin from working right? So if we can get the fat out we can get yourselves working again. Then you might see dramatic changes in your blood sugar and your health. So that's why I walk people through this diabetes reset cleanse. Every other month I do a Q&A webinar where you can learn about the cleanse and decide if it's right for you. The other service that I want to highlight is my healthy lifestyle transformation. And this is a one on one coaching program where I take you over the course of three months through two modules. The first one is to teach you how to fuel your body for energy and for health. So that's where we get into, you know improving your food, eating more nutritious food and where we improve what you're drinking, how you hydrate your body. And then in the second module we talk about creating an unstoppable mindset and that is all about dealing with setbacks, which always happen in life, and in a health journey. We talk about how to add movement into your life so that it's sustainable, and we talk about stress reduction. So really all the pieces that you need of a healthy lifestyle are built into the healthy lifestyle transformation, and we walk through that together, we meet weekly so that, you know, I can support you and hold you accountable to improving your health one small step at a time.
WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS OR PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?
Granetta Coleman: So my philosophy is pretty simple, it's that small changes done consistently over time, lead to big results. So one of the things that people often do when they're trying to make a health change is they go boom 100% super hard and that lasts for a week or two and then it falls apart because they tried to do too much too fast. So what we do is we try to do sustainable change, and that means making small changes over time. That's why I said, you know, we adjust what you eat and drink, we don't throw everything out, we just make small adjustments that add up. And my other paradigm that I love to share with clients is about judgment. We all judge ourselves so harshly every day that when we're in this journey toward health, we really have to be gentle with ourselves and we have to look at every attempt that we make as positive and it offers us feedback that we can use to improve. So there's no such thing as failure in this journey, there's only feedback. And every week, if you're in the healthy lifestyle transformation with me, we go through your action steps, we figure out what worked, we figure out what didn't and we do something different so that each week you're improving and by the end of the three months, you know, you're better off your health is better than you were when you started and you will have changes that you can sustain. So those are my two big, you know, cornerstones, small changes and there's no such thing as failure only feedback.

Granetta Coleman: So shop local to me, means community. You know, when we put and put our dollars into local businesses, it means we're supporting each other, we're supporting our neighborhood. And so if our neighborhood flourishes, our neighbors flourish, we have a beautiful environment where we can all, you know...thrive.
