CAN YOU PLEASE INTRODUCE YOURSELF & ORGANIZATION TO THE COMMUNITY?
Tamika Williams : Hi everyone. My name is Tamika Williams and I am the founder and executive director of a wonderful organization called Beautiful I am. We are a 501c3 organization located in the Capitol Heights Maryland area, and we are women's empowerment and servicing providing organization.
WHAT IS YOUR BUSINESS OR PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU?
Tamika Williams : so our personal philosophy for a beautiful I am is that you are beautiful, just the way you are. The world doesn't dictate to you if you're beautiful, you are beautiful and we believe that every woman has the right to know that. And it is our goal to get that message across to women and we believe that if we start young and we follow these young girls up into their adulthood that they will be on the right track and we just, we spread that positivity throughout the community and amongst women. We empower women. We empower them with the tools and the knowledge so that they can make great decisions and they can and even if they don't make the right decision and they you mess up when you fall know that you can get back up. That is so important. You need to know that you can get back up that you don't have to stay in that position. And we really, we really stress that two women and young girls who are part of our organization that you know, there's gonna be bumps in the road of this thing called life. But the the best thing you can do is when you fall get back up and so that is something that we pride ourselves on and again, just letting you know that you are beautiful, just the way you are sis you are beautiful and you and we want you to know that. So that's our personal philosophy
WHAT ACTION DO YOU WANT TO INVITE VIEWERS TO TAKE?
Tamika Williams : So we have this amazing challenge called the B I A visibility challenge and pretty much what it is, is just bringing awareness to Beautiful I am. And what we want to challenge you with today is if you can find us 10 women who may have access to 10 young girls or two young women or them themselves, they need the what be a offers. We want to challenge you to share our information with them. We're trying to help as many women and young girls as we possibly can within this community because we want to see our community of women be stronger and greater and just tap into that inner the inner beauty that's in them that they and let them know that they can do this.
