What made you decide to invest in the One-on-One Coaching Program with Dave?

Jeffrey Pitzer: Hi there. This is Jeff Pitzer from Town Center Laundry in Temecula, California. And, my partner and brother-in-law, we decided to invest in Dave's one on one coaching session to get some practical hands on knowledge from somebody that has spoken with hundreds of other laundry owners across the United States. So we could incorporate the best practices into our store and, and potentially grow the store into maybe a small chain of laundromats. What we've learned has just been incredible. We're both lifelong learners. We enjoy being coached, and it holds us to being accountable and the creative and interchange of ideas has been spectacular and we put quite a few of these things into play and we expect the results to be amazing.

Did you find Dave to have the expertise you'd expected in a business coach?

Jeffrey Pitzer: Yeah, I found Dave to have a great wide range of knowledge on a lot of different topics. When you're a small business person, you wear a lot of hats. You know, you've got HR you've got operations, you've got sales, you've got customer service. So you have all these different areas of expertise. And as we were going through the coaching program, we'd bring a lot of, lot of different areas where we felt we could improve and he gave us some incredibly practical tips on what to do. One example would be, we were getting some poor reviews on some uh last wash, uh uh customers and, uh, you know, they would come in and they would see customers inside of the laundry still doing laundry. And uh we, we would get some bad reviews and we'd get these maybe once a month or something like that. So maybe, I don't know, 10 to 12 in a year. So he suggested that we just say we're closed at 830 and uh we did that and we have not had a bad review on that particular aspect of our business sense and our particular tagline is to be quick, convenient and easy and we like to make sure it's that way for our customers and for our, uh, team members. And by doing that, it took a lot of pressure off our team members because they get a bonus based on how they, uh, get reviews in any particular quarter. So, yeah, he had a business experience on a wide array of topics and it was extremely beneficial.

Was anything surprising or eye-opening that you got from your calls with Dave?

Jeffrey Pitzer: Yeah. Oh, there, there's something that was so eye opening from Dave, we had a discussion about our laundromat and the wash cycles and we mentioned it to him and he went through uh how um many laundry owners across the us do not charge the proper amount for the extra rents or the extra wash. We're charging 25 cents and we, you know, we have a whole another fill for both of those things. So we were in shock when he brought it to our attention. So now what we've done is we've gone back through and we realize that we have the opportunity now to get all of our washers price properly so that we're giving extra revenue maximizing revenue from the different size machines. So we jumped our £25 or £20 machines from 25 cents to 50 cents for an extra uh wash and rinse. And we're gonna do the same thing with the 30 pounders, the 40 pounders, the 60 pounders and the 80 pounders. But it's gonna cost more because we didn't realize it's extending out the wash cycles and customers can't use our machines. So, what a tremendous opportunity to cut down on costs or to maximize our revenue. So amazing uh insight by Dave.

Would you recommend Dave's Coaching Program to other Laundromat Owners?

Jeffrey Pitzer: Yeah. After having spent the last four months, uh meeting with Dave twice a month, I would definitely recommend Dave's coaching program for other uh laundromat owners that want to improve their business, improve their bottom line and just get some practical, easy to use tips that you can put into action right away.
