What is one important personal reflection or lesson from 2025 that you want to share with other community pros?

Edidiong Francis : This year I hosted my first physical event called Community Managers Meetup, and this event helps me to appreciate the hard work that community managers put into hosting events without virtual or physical events. Hosting this event challenged me and taught me the importance of teamwork, having proper structures in place when it comes to events planning and effective communication.

What is your take on what is next for us as community professionals in 2026?

Edidiong Francis : My take on what is next for us as community professionals in 2026 is that community managers will continue to evolve and more community professionals will lean into leadership role, focusing on meaningful impact and outcomes in community groups. Aside that, community professionals will focus more on building inclusive communities where members feel supported, safe, and heard. I'm looking forward to more growth in the community space in 2026.
