Speakers: Alice Paul, Global Community Expert, Qonto

What is one important personal reflection or lesson from 2025 that you want to share with other community pros?

Alice Paul: Hi everyone, I'm Alice. I'm working at Qonto, a French company, which is a European leader in finance solution for B2B, so freelancer and small and medium companies. The reflection I have on 2025 is that my main point, I always want to create micro moments because I think that it really makes all the difference at Qonto, but also in all my previous companies, especially for B2B community. We really have to create these moments, these gathering opportunities physically, not just online events or hybrid events, even if we know that it's easier to organize some sometimes, especially if our members are connected all around the world, but really what resonates to me this year, what really makes sense was to really focus on creating this authenticity to come back to what really resonates to them, to listen to them, their challenges, their business issues that we are trying to solve with our products or services throughout this community gathering, so authenticity connection matters. Sometimes we are always looking forward to growing, scaling because this is one of our challenges as building and maintaining a community system, but really authenticity doesn't scale. This is really a strength that we need to focus on. We can't always automate trust and create strategies around this authenticity. So that's really the best for me reflection I can keep in mind is to transform users into advocates. It's not just words, it's really making efforts, showing them that we care, like creating, gaining follow up and relationship and trust with them.

What is your take on what is next for us as community professionals in 2026?

Alice Paul: What's next for next year? I would say that for sure, AI is really entering into our professional environment and daily life. So, as a community builder and expert, I would really encourage everyone to take the most out of this technology by following trainings, webinars, connecting peer to peers, reading a lot of resources around it, especially on testimonial best practices, dos and don'ts, because we know that AI won't replace our community building job, but would really help us to free it up from administrative tasks, moderation, reporting, so we take the most out of it and create a connection.
