You can also call me at 1 805 170857 extension 7 13. In this course, you're going to learn about a lot of different things. So hopefully you'll be able to tell the difference by the end of the course between negligence and intentional torts. You're going to learn about different areas of tort which include assault, wrongful imprisonment, wrongful death. Um So lots of different civil claims for wrongful acts and then you will learn about what kinds of damages that someone can receive if they are the victim of a tort. Tort law is a great class to teach and a great class to take because it applies to lots of different situations. Um So if you've ever been in a car accident, tort law is going to be what is used to compensate you for your damages. Um, lots of different matters are torts. So if you think of an assault or a battery, um, there is a criminal process for dealing with those situations, but there's also a civil process for the victim to recover money damages. So in this course, we're covering a lot of ground, but it's a really important area of law and we have lots of to lawsuits. So a few things you can do to succeed in this course are to always reach out to me. If you have any questions at all, don't feel like it's a bother or anything like that. Um, and the other tip I would have is to remember if you already have taken criminal law or if you're familiar with criminal law at all to differentiate between criminal law and tort law. Um, there's going to be a lot of overlap.
