This course is always very exciting for me to teach because we are looking at uh some topics that are going to be pretty current and important in today's legal profession. So we're going to be talking a lot about the media and speech issues, which you might see a lot in the news. Um But I wanna try to make sure that you are on top of some developing areas of the law and how this particular topic will relate into other areas of the law that you may have already studied. So in this course, you're going to learn about different sources of the media, how uh social media works as far as speech regulation. How do does uh any of the constitutional principles that we might know about apply if at all to social media and other commercial entities, um how speech is protected under the constitution for individuals um and lots of other things. Um but the main area we're going to be looking at is constitutional protections for speech and um media and social media. So to be successful in this course, be sure that if you have any questions, you're always reaching out to me, you're sending me a message or giving me a call so that if you're lost or confused on a topic, we can get you right back on track. And then also, since this is a kind of more specific class to a particular topic, just make sure that you are carefully reviewing all the readings and the concepts we're discussing. So you can really get a good handle on them um and know all of the finer points.
