Please tell us about your experience with Optilume® and how it has benefited your patients.

Jaschar Shakuri-Rad: Hi, my name is Doctor Jaschar Shakuri-Rad and I'm a urologist and robotic surgeon in Morgantown, West Virginia at Mon Health Medical Center. We have been using Optilume for urethral stricture disease for quite some time and have had great experience for both the patient and the surgeon. The procedure is minimally invasive, efficient, reproducible and really well tolerated by the patient. Patients who have come to us from other centers and have had experience with other surgical interventions for stricture disease. They report to us that their experience with Optilume is much more pleasant. Optilume also uses two mechanisms of action. It is both a mechanical as well as a chemical solution due to its effective ingredient of Paclitaxel, which coats the balloon. Patients with recurrent stricture disease, they tend to have longer lasting stricture free outcomes at our center. At Mon Health Medical Center, we use the best treatment modalities and therefore we have chosen Optilume as our procedure of choice for urethral stricture disease.
