Speaker: Paul, Guitar and Ukulele Lessons with Chris
Question #1: Please start by telling us your 1st name, which instrument you're learning, and the 1st name of your instructor
Paul: My name is Paul and I'm learning guitar (and Ukulele) with La Di Da Music Lessons and Chris is my instructor.
Question #2: Please name 2 or 3 things you've enjoyed about your lessons
Paul: Yeah, something that I like about my lessons with Chris at La Di Da is that, we do a lot of learning through learning songs that I love anyway and love to learn to be able to play. Um, and so through those songs, I'm learning a guitar technique, as well as getting a little bit of theory sprinkled in to the process. So, I enhance my understanding of how both the guitar and music works more broadly and and in so doing, I really think that my overall skill and appreciation of the instrument is is growing.
Question #3: Did you find our live, online lesson format to be enjoyable and effective?
Paul: My lessons with La Di Da are all conducted online via Zoom and I found that to be really rather good because, uh, A, it's super convenient of course and B, you know, we're focused because it's just myself and Chris on the other side of the Zoom. And there's no distractions, and we can really attend to the specific details that we're, looking to to work on, uh, at any given time. Plus, of course, we've got uh instant access to other online resources... uh.. music tabs and chord sheets and recordings and that kind of stuff that we can, view at one and the same time. and so those really contribute to, to the effectiveness of the lessons.
Question #4: Are you happy with the options and flexibility our self-booking system offers?
Paul: La Di Da uses a, online scheduling platform and when I first got started with Chris, I was astonished at the, at the level of, uh, flexibility and the, and a sort of variety of options that were available to me. Uh, I could have booked lessons of various different lengths, different frequency, uh, on different instruments, of course, of course, I, I chose the guitar. And, um, and so now, you know, we're on the flow of things. I'm on a subscription program, and so that allows me to schedule my lessons in blocks of 4 in advance on regular days and times. But if I know that I'm gonna be out of town for whatever reason, I can find another day and time that works for both Chris and I um through that scheduling system, so no phone calls necessary, to be able to accommodate those occasional non-availabilities. So, so it means that uh there's, there's never need to miss a lesson, which is great!
