Emily Numa: Hi, my name is Emily, I'm from Hoboken, New Jersey, I'm a former teacher and current Knowadays tutor.
What made you originally start thinking about a proofreading course or a career in freelancing?
Emily Numa: So, I was a teacher for a long time, and after my first daughter was born, I started to become interested in pursuing something a little bit more flexible, maybe something I could do remotely. And I actually thought about proofreading and came across the Knowadays course. And what stood out to me about Knowadays was the comprehensive course, the work guarantee. So I actually signed up the day after I came across the website.
When did you decide you wanted to become a tutor?
Emily Numa: I had such a fantastic experience with the Knowadays tutors when I took the course myself that it was actually always at the back of my mind that it was something that I would be interested in if the opportunity ever came up. So when it did come up, I really jumped at the chance to apply.
What's your favorite part about being a Knowadays tutor?
Emily Numa: My favorite part about being a Knowadays tutor is talking to the learners, helping them, supporting them and watching them succeed.
What would you say to learners thinking about taking the course?
Emily Numa: What I would say to learners thinking about taking the course is just go for it, you won't regret it.
