Speaker: Molly Coy, Coy's Camps And Classes

Please introduce yourself - what is your name, location, and occupation?

Molly Coy: Hi, everyone. I am so excited. I am a newly certified Kurs educator and I had actually become familiar with entrepreneurs back when I was teaching second grade. And I had come across a book, I think I actually bought it for my kids and we tried to do an entrepreneurship, um, program activity with my class and unfortunately before we could do our final little fair, um, COVID hit and it all got shut down and now that I own my own business, teaching enrichment classes. I, here in Tucson, Arizona, I had been looking for something with the entrepreneurs that spelled out an actual curriculum. I could easily plan how many weeks or how many hours a camp or, um, whatever just to have a plan to follow. And unfortunately I didn't find it at first and I went with something else which wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was looking for. And so when I was looking again one day on Facebook, I happened to see an ad for the Kid Preneurs Certification program and I jumped right on it and did the work and completed it even though I was also currently running a young entrepreneurs class, which I just finished and, but I was having to adapt it because it didn't really fit the circumstances. It was designed more to be part of maybe a social studies class, but not something that I could work with, with my kids within my own business. So I took a look at the res and I think it's absolutely wonderful and I am looking forward to offering an online version of a winter break camp for it. And then um as well as some live classes at our location, which is in a mall here in Tucson. And then on top of that, I'm hoping to start a micro school with a slant towards real life skills. And I believe the Rene program will be in a amazing fit for it. And I'm just excited to get it all going. And so I'm very thankful to res and they are great about getting back to you when you have questions, the guides are easy to follow. I'm just loving it. So anyway, I can't wait to fully get started and I hope to see more of you around. Ok. Bye bye.

Could you share a few details about your overall experience with the program so far?

Molly Coy: So my experience with the kid s program so far has been nothing short of amazing. Customer support has been very responsive to questions and I love the story of the three little pig preneurs. I think it's great and will definitely relate to, to the kids. And um just overall, it's been a fantastic experience.

What are some of the key benefits or features of our Kidpreneurs Certified Educators program that you found most valuable?

Molly Coy: So a new tool that I learned about with the Entrepreneurs program is the spirit animal. I think that's a great way to relate to the young kids and help them kind of hone in on to um skills or talents they may naturally have as well as it allows them to sometimes express themselves through their spirit animal or pet pal or even stuffed animal that goes along with it without fearing that it, it's something that's gonna come back on them. They can try to have the animal present it so to speak. So I just think that's a wonderful feature and I can't wait to use it.

What advice would you give to parents, educators or entrepreneurs who are interested in becoming a Certified Educator?

Molly Coy: But um I think it's an amazing experience and there definitely should be more focus out there on how businesses are run, whether the child eventually owns their own business or just wants more of an understanding of how the owner of the place they work for is thinking and what they have to look at when creating a business and figuring out all the ins and outs. It gives another point of view. So, yeah, definitely. Just go for it.

How does it feel to be a Kidpreneurs Certified Educator?

Molly Coy: It feels great to be a kid printer, certified educator. And while I am still new to it, I look forward to all the opportunities it can bring me such as camps during school breaks, evening classes, potentially after school programs at various schools. And in fact, I plan to incorporate, incorporate it into my own micro school. So I think the possibilities are endless and um I'm really excited to see what comes my way.
