What's the number one reason you find your Monthly Market Report so valuable?

David Garves: The monthly market reports are as far as I'm concerned. Well, they're my favorite and I think the most important part of the KCM membership, you know, we do a lot in our community in our marketplace, but we're constantly kind of bogged down with the daily, the, the busyness, the the day to day of helping our clients buy or sell real estate. The KCM market report gives us a chance to step back to look at the bigger picture, to speak the language, to know what the data is and really what data we should be paying attention to and then turn around and provide that to our clients. It really gives us an opportunity to be the experts in our local community by paying attention to what KCM teaches us every month.

How are you using your Monthly Market Report each month?

David Garves: My favorite thing to do with the monthly market reports is to first watch it and get an overall idea of the message that they're trying to provide the language that they're using to get that message out the graphics, the charts, the info graphs that they use and provide for us. But then take all of that and combine it with my local market market data to go in. If they're talking about supply demand, months of, of inventory, uh months of supply and find out what my local numbers are use it almost to compare. Uh they do the the aerial, the 50 ft in the sky view of what's happening nationally. But I bring it down then and combine it with what's happening in my local market and provide that to my sphere, my buyers, my sellers, my past buyers or sellers, the people that know like and trust me. But I'm using kind of that KCM language, the economist language. And I'm really coming off um as an expert in my community.

How would you describe your Monthly Market Report and why you should use it to a friend who just joined KCM?

David Garves: For me when I'm talking to other realtors, people that I, that I value in this business and the topic of KCM and, and the monthly market report comes up. Um It's amazing to me how many people are already using it. And as I'm going through and I'm using the language and I'm talking about my market data and the, the information within, within my local market. Um You can tell the people that have been listening to the market reports because they automatically know why that information is important and what's there. So when I find somebody who hasn't watched the monthly market report, one of my first things that I do is to try and get them at least on the trial membership, understand watch and see how easy it is to really not just become the expert because most realtors are already experts in their market, but how they can share that expertise to the community.
