Speaker: Andrew Rozell

Briefly introduce yourself and share a fun fact about yourself.

Andrew Rozell: Hello, I'm Andrew Roselle and I get the privilege to serve as the president of. I teach. One fun fact about me is in high school. I started our local rugby team. I played rugby throughout high school. And then I also played for the University of Tennessee while I attended there. My first rugby game, uh, that I ever played. I was 17, uh, playing against a local team here in North Texas and I broke my nose in the opening minutes of the game. It was quite a welcome to the rough sport and sadly, my career ended early due to medical concerns of concussions. But that's one thing. Uh, some people don't know about me.

Could you share something your division is planning for 2024 that you're particularly enthusiastic about?

Andrew Rozell: I teach is looking to have an incredible year in 2014 due to a lot of initiatives taking place here in our office in Denton, Texas and through some of our remote employees across the nation, a couple of things to highlight is one as always, we're looking to grow our current states. These are the states that we've been in for a few years. We're looking to continue growing our footprint and increase the number of teachers. We get to train in those states in 2024. We're looking to open up at least four states this year. Uh Can and Mississippi were both already approved in the same week back in February and their launches are imminent and we're also on the board for an Alabama approval in April. So looking forward to launching three new states here in the next couple of months with several in the pipeline behind that. And the last thing I'm excited about is just increase in our employee engagement here in our office because of our growth, we're seeing the need for implementation of new initiatives and innovations that have come from our team themselves. We're also because of the growth, looking to increase our staff and grow our office team here.

What's a piece of advice do you apply to your life regularly?

Andrew Rozell: One piece of advice that I subscribe to or at least try to subscribe to daily is the old quote to be curious, not judgmental. I think having that disposition as I walk into conversations and meetings allows myself to engage, ask questions with genuine curiosity about how the other person's thinking and to limit my temptation to be judgmental or sharp in my responses.
