Why do you love helping customers on JustAnswer?
DMWEsq: When I was in law school, I realized very quickly that those who had a lot of money had access to lawyers and those with very little money had access to lawyers, but everybody else in between never has access to lawyers. Through JustAnswer.com, I'm able to provide that kind of access to justice that's missing in so many communities.
What types of questions do you get on JustAnswer?
DMWEsq: One of the beautiful things about being an Expert on JustAnswer.com is that I'm able to see a wide range of legal issues. Landlord tenant stuff is probably the most popular, but then there are issues with family law and then contractual issues is probably number three. So it has been a broad and diverse set of questions that I've been able to answer over the years.
What’s your most memorable or heartwarming story with a customer?
DMWEsq: So I would say the most memorable one was a woman that I helped years ago get some of her money back from this blood testing lab that was overcharging her. She has this rare disease called Hashimoto's disease and she has to go for regular blood testing and she started to notice that her bills were getting increasingly larger with no reason for it. So she came to the website, she asks some questions about it. I told her what it was that she could do. I represented her offline. After that, I sent a strongly worded letter to that blood testing lab. Their lawyer called me back and asked how much is it that we want to resolve this? I was able to help somebody. It was fantastic.
