Why do you love helping customers on JustAnswer?
Tim8W0415: I love helping customers here on JustAnswer. It gives me personal gratification that I'm able to actually help someone in need. The questions are very varied and sometimes they're very simple or sometimes they're complex, but I take the good with the bad.
What types of questions do you get on JustAnswer?
Tim8W0415: In my category, small engines, it is a pretty much A to Z catch all and anything outdoor power equipment. I try to stay within my realm of expertise. The brands and everything out there, just literally hundreds of different kinds of items. It's a mixed bag. I'm an excellent engine and generator specialist. I do get quite a few questions regarding home power generators, portable generators, even generators on boats and sailing ships.
What’s your most memorable or heartwarming story with a customer?
Tim8W0415: The most memorable question I recall here on JustAnswer would be the generator question with two generators on board the sailing vessel, less traveled. They were underway from the
Galápagos Islands three days out of port, headed towards French Polynesia, 10 days out. And both their generators seem to have gone down for two different reasons. And I was able to coach the people on board on how to get those things up and running again and all was good. They thanked me kindly and I was pleased that they had drinking water again. They had plenty of ship stores on board, but no desalinization plant. All that ended well. That's my favorite one.
