Speaker: Melissa Strautman

How would you describe Joe's Continuing Education Classes in three words?

Melissa Strautman : Hi. So, I would say that, uh, Joe's classes in three words would be fun, insightful and thought provoking.

How would you describe Joe's teaching style?

Melissa Strautman : So Joe's teaching style is very unique. I've never had an instructor, um, quite like him. Um He has such a wealth of, of knowledge, uh from what he's done over the years. Uh But he never looks at you like you're stupid. He always tries to learn how you learn first and then he tries to help you, um grasp the concept and the idea um on your own terms, it's kind of unique.

How has your practice or bodywork improved as a result of taking Joe's classes?

Melissa Strautman : Wow, that's a really big question. Um So my body work has changed because um he uh watched what I was doing and he really highlighted, um to me the things that he thought were really excellent and that I should keep. Um, and he did that while I was working so that I, I didn't feel um pressured. Uh but then, um later on when we were not doing the work, um he would like correct my body mechanics or say, hey, you know, watch your face, you're not smiling or, or, or, or whatever. And um I've taken that back to my treatment room and I have to say, um it was, I worked for about three months on the things that, um he taught me. And um after about three months, I was able to do them without thinking and it dramatically changed my posture. Um My flow was even better. So he knows what he's talking about. And um that has made me um kind of renewed my energy for what I do.
