Why hire the Job Guy?

Hey, I'm John Bates. The job guy. People often ask why hire the job guy. Well, there are two types of people who would. The first type of person is someone who's stuck in a dead end job and doesn't know what else they're qualified to do that won't require expensive and time consuming credentials. At job guy, we help our clients to identify what skills they currently have, which of those skills have value in the job market and which roles in the job market make the most amount of sense to target that will enable them to achieve their career goals most directly. The other type of people we work with are people who are in job search mode that for whatever reason have not been successful, perhaps the resume isn't working, maybe the resume isn't earning them interviews, but they're not doing interviews well enough to earn offers or probably most commonly, they don't know how to target the 75% of jobs that are accessed only through the hidden job market. At job guy we help folks in both buckets, people who are looking to determine career direction and don't know where to go but also people who are in job search mode that for whatever reason have not been successful. And it's for this reason that we're able to label ourselves as the saviors of the miserably employed and seekers of work.
