What challenges did you come to Jessica with - and where are you now?

Mary, 71: The summer, I was going through a lot of stress and anxiety. I just felt like I was on all the time. I wasn't sleeping well, and I wanted to, I wanted to change. I wanted to figure out a better way. And I reached out to uh Jessica because she's a good friend and she's also an excellent health coach. And I decided to stop drinking alcohol. And it was a big decision, and I was gonna take one day at a time like they tell you to do, and uh I wasn't sure, I was probably pretty sure I wasn't gonna be able to do it. I've tried over the years, many, many times to stop drinking. And was never, I, I could never stick with it. Now, I'm not a raging alcoholic or anything like that. I was down to one hard kombucha a day, which is like, it's like 10% alcohol or something. I've been drinking wine, wine at dinner for years and years and years. I'm 71, so I've been drinking like my whole life except if I was pregnant. So, but I, I just felt like I needed to change and I knew that that alcohol just wasn't serving me. So it was, I think a Tuesday, I thought, OK, just for tonight, I'm not gonna drink. And Jessica in the past, she was like, Mary, I don't think you're ready to do this. Don't give it up yet. So, but this time, You know, I just, I really wanna optimize my health. I really wanna focus on the things that are gonna help support me in this, and she told me about hibiscus tea. I've never had hibiscus tea in my life, and I'm telling you, it has saved me. Um, I said, where do I get hibiscus tea? Of course, she has a blog post about hibiscus tea on her website. So, um, I got hibiscus tea, and every night I make, um, it's iced hibiscus tea, and I put like a spin drift in there, a little lime juice, a little stevia, and that's now my cocktail, and I have been alcohol-free for almost 6 months. I'm like in my head I was gonna commit to 6 months, and that's what I'm doing, cause I know, you know, in the beginning I was like, well, maybe I'll just do, I'll just drink. On the weekends, but just like, you know, you're just gonna slide right back in it, you know, give it 6 months. So that's, that's what I'm doing, and I'm so, so grateful. And she also said you probably are dealing with like a leaky gut, you know, so she recommended, um, some protocols for healing my gut because I was having like a gastritis kind of thing when I would drink, not terrible, not enough to stop, of course, but. Um, so my gut feels so much better, and um, she put me on, uh, she recommended a few things for detoxing just to support my liver, and I am just so, so grateful. Um. I don't, I don't know how I, I wouldn't, I wouldn't have done it by myself, and I'm just really grateful for Jessica's support. She's always been there for me and uh we're gonna carry on.
