Speaker: Derrick Mastin, National Recruiter

Derrick Mastin: Hey, everybody. Uh, my name is Derek Masten. I'm a national recruiter with J MP. Going on six years. Um, I pretty simple. I like spending time with family and friends. I like going to the beach playing golf, um, going to new restaurants, um, hanging out.

Derrick Mastin: Some things I like the most about what I do, uh, in the overall recruitment process is meeting nurses from all across the US. Um, I've met a lot of really cool people from all over the country, different backgrounds, working in different specialties, uh, different types of facilities. Um, I've learned a lot. I have had no background in nursing before then but, um, going on six years now I've had a lot of really cool, uh, conversations with you guys, um, learned a lot about a lot of different things. Uh, so now every time, you know, going to the hospital for either myself or a loved one, able to talk shop a little bit more. Um, and, yeah, that's, it's really cool to, to be able to do that. Um, and to be able to, uh, help people in their careers, um, either grow, uh, get more skills, uh, travel. Um, see the US, things like that. It's just a great experience overall.

Derrick Mastin: Travel, nursing can definitely transform lives uh in a lot of different ways. Uh You can definitely work on your skill set uh within your career and your specialty setting. Uh You can go from working in a critical access hospital in a remote rural area to uh working your way up to a level one trauma center in a really busy urban environment. Um The the people you work with are gonna be different. Uh Not only just the staff that you'll come in and help, uh but the patient populations too, you're gonna get uh depending on the different types of facilities and locations you go to, you're gonna work with a lot of different patient populations from all walks of life. Um The travel aspect too, you can see a lot of different parts of the US that you might not have ever even dreamed about going to. You can go from uh New England fall to a Florida summer. Uh You can go, you know, to ski country uh when it's the peak season, uh California obviously is very beautiful Pacific Northwest. Um And anything in between. So, um on top of that, you, you know, get to work with and collaborate with a lot of different uh nurses and doctors and other providers. Um learn a lot along the way, see how other people do things, um you know, pick up best practices. Um or maybe you have the best practice and you can teach um other people across the US and then, you know, with the money, I mean, you can make a lot depending on the travel contract and um really kind of transform your life in that aspect as well. So a lot of different advantages.

Derrick Mastin: Here at J MP. We have a great referral program. Uh, you can continually earn money while on contract. So if you send us a nurse and they get a contract while you're also on contract, you earn another dollar per hour for every hour that they work. Um, there's no limit. You can earn as much as possible as many nurses that you send as many hours as they work. Um, you'll earn for that. There's no, um, time period in which it stops. Um, it's uncapped. Um, so it's great. Uh, I think the, the average, uh, is between 307 $150 a month for nurses that refer us other nurses. Um, so it's great. It's all, especially right now. Uh, any, every little bit helps.

Derrick Mastin: Hey, everybody, I just wanted to say Happy Nurses Week. Um We really appreciate everything you guys do week in and week out. You guys continually go above and beyond. Um You also help us accomplish our mission, which is to improve the delivery of patient care and the lives of everyone we touch. And you guys are at the forefront of that. You guys um do your jobs in and out help countless amounts of patients uh each day, each week. And we just want to say thank you for everything you guys do Happy Nurses Week.
